Ready.......Get set............GO!

Just came back from church camp two days ago. Started on Sunday, right after church. Gosh, it was really really fun! Make that FUN! Gosh, so cool.

It was very well planned(they planned it for a year lor). The dragon boating, the christian walk, the everything else that I didn't mention(I will mention it later).

The theme was "By faith-Run Your Race". Theme verse, Hebrew Chapter 12:1. Really understood after the camp was this theme meant.

On the first day, we had icebreaker games! By Geraldine and Xiuli. Abit chaotic(the second part), where we had this piece of paper which had a few descriptions on it, in boxes, and all of us had to ask somebody else to sign over the description. First one to get five boxes in a row signed wins. Haha, none of us cared what description it was, we just signed anyhow...After that we had more games...like captain's ball and the usual stuff(always happens every year). We then had bath, then Dinner. Dinner was very special that night. Some of us sat at a table, the others sat on chairs surrounding the tables. The people sitting at the table got pizza, wings, pepsi etc...the others got baked beans with grounded maize(more of like flour and water)and we were liked forced to see them eat ther pizza while we only had that(I was one of them). Anyway, the baked beans were quite good. Didn't really mind actually, but after that I got really hungry. Worship was next, then theme talk by Pastor Yeo Lay Suan.Good pastor. Very dramatic, detailed. Easy to understand. Then we had group discussion. Oh yah, the ppl in my group:Hannah, Marlin(she only came on the second day!), Eugene, Ernest, Shi Ting, Michael(he left on third day) and me:). After discussion, did some other stuff. And lights out. The funniest. Marck, the troublemaker. He was bulldozing as in two meanings. Bulldozing as in bulldozing, and bull dozing. Geddit? Nevermind.

Second day. Woke up, then had exercise! We jogged from TA2 to Vivocity, then back. Then QT, breakfast, worship theme talk and discussion. Gosh we got scolded cause quite a number of us slept during the talk. After that dragon boating. Hey, it was special ok. River Wars, what the hell. Super funny sia! The 40 of us got divided to 4 boats. Everytime we passed by each other, WAR! Splashed water everywhere, with bailers and oars and whatever we had(even plastic bags...) After that, rowed out, did some fun and relaxing stuff(like looking at crabs and stuff). Haha, there was this guy who got angry with our boat's instructor. He was like shouting:"Hey, you stupid person, the river so big, why you row down here! People fishing you know!" But oh well, we didn't really give a damn. (There was only one fishing line....). Haha, when we rowed out, the instructor then told us, "Singapore so big, why you fish down here!" Haha. That guy scolding us could have gotten super jacked man. Anyway, after that, Mini Race! My boat came in third..haha. Had fun anyway. After that, bath, then OTOT(included dinner) until Worship time. Then the usual procedure. Worship, Theme Talk, Discussion. After that, treasure hunt! So cool, all of us had to look for the missing member of our group. Gabriel's group was damn funny. The thing they did was wander around the carpark, and guess was, they found they're missing group member already....LOL! Why is Dawn so good at hiding people.....Well it was quite challenging. Our group only had half strength, so we teamed up with Tim Chan's group. I remember there was this part where the clue's that were given to us were just a brush and a piece of paper. We all thought we had look for a painting, but guess what? It wasn't a painting. We were suppose to wet the piece of paper. Why? Wax stuff was written on it. Cool, right? Gosh, anyway, yep a few stations after that, we couldn't finish it, cause some other group took our stuff. So we had to answer this question, which was something about our missing group member. Yay, we found out Marlin's a coffee addict!. Hehe...After that, sleeping time. This time, Marck didn't cause too much trouble....haha....

Third day was the best! Had our last theme talk in the morning. The most meaningful one to me too. We then had other stuff, like games again(our group owned, I think), TALENT TIME, and CHRISTIAN WALK! Yay. Talent time, my group's one was the most obscene one. Harhar, and I think Tim Chan's and Gabriel's skits were the funniest one. Yoda and Vadar....haha..."You ask mother, I ask Father!" Lol...And Bejnamin, the dancing tree. After that, worship. I played the bongos. Damn cool man. :). After that, Christian Walk. Well, I was quite scared, cause well, the tekan and everything. But we were assured there was no tekaning, and well, there wasn't. It was more of a trust game. This was what it was about. there were four kinds of ppl, the christians, the church leaders, the spies and the policemen. The policemen were already chosen beforehand(Fanjun and Tim). The Gameplan:The christians were given verses each, and they had to put it in the underground church. However, only church leaders knew where the church was, and the christians had to follow them. However(again), the spies were pu in there to put mistrust in the people. the policemen had to just go around catching people. No violence though, just tapping the shoulders. Quite scary leh, like they suddenly come out of no where, then after that you seethehole flock of people running everywhere. Haha..was once I got cornered by FanJun, and oh well, didn't get caught, you know why? Cause I was crazy enough to jump over the "Wall", and I caused quite a mess in the end. FanJun and I cleaned it up, and I also got another chance! Oh well, just slacked around. Also forgot, I had to put the verse up...lol....and Jess was quite unlucky. She went to put the verse at the church, and got caught there. After she went out of the interrogation, she went back to put the church back to it's place, and she got caught, again. Well, at least she could keep on eating chips.....harhar. After the whole thing, we had debrief, and we learnt quite a few things, like some of us had 'fake verses', and the only way to get the real one was get caught and interrogated. We might get the correct verses. So cool. And we also learnt that there only two spies....and also the interrogators got confused between the spies and the church leaders...in the end Chng min(who was a spy) got caught and 'tekaned'(not really tekan, just some other stuff worse than the rest) Harhar, Dawn's fault again....:p After that, Free and Easy until as long as we want. Some of us just played cards first. Then after that Tim Chan started playing icebreaker games again. DAMN FUNNY SIA! The NIU NAI GAME! Super obscene lor. FanJun was like, "Eh after this don't spread this game around, play here, forget here." Hawhaw....hen duo nai....sick! Haha. Then we had other games like "Diu diu diu" (aiyah all the old icebreaker games). Was fun. We also had this game called Murderer. Quite lame, yet fun. Cracked our minds up. But Tim chan was shocked, he thought we were cheating or something, cause we were able to catch the murderers without putting any civilians to death by accident. And Benjamin was also super funny. He was like directly pointing everything to the murderers, yet nobody found out he was a detective...haha...well Ben's always crazy, even during the diu diu diu game...dancing around...lol....

The next morning, had some last discussions, then sai kang! Harhar joking la, just clean up. Had some last announcement's some red bean soup, then well, end of camp.

Some thoughts about it though, the lessons I learnt. Something like what Xavier put up on his blog, not being just a Sunday Christian. Running the race isn't about that. Learnt that running the race as a christian is not going to be easy. Just like running a real race, it takes perseverence, determinationm, passion. We will have all the 'cramps' and 'aches'. Also there are different types of people. There are some, just standing at the side of the track cheering the racers on, others, getting injured and just resting there, and others, running the race. The most meaningful one to me though, the last theme talk, is that Our Father isn't just shaking His leg up there, cheering or looking at us from up there. He is pushing us through this race. Like this video that Pastor Yeo showed us, about this crippled guy who wanted to be a athlete, and his dad had to push him. their teamwork, and so on.

The camp really taught me a few lessons.

Well right, I'm just slacking, playing games. Later I'll be going for cell again(Finally!). I'm listening to Hillsongs now, oh yah, and by looking at which song I started to typethis post, and what song's playing now, I've been typing this post for an hour(OMG). Well gtg bathe and do other stuff now.

"Are you going to be the one just standing by the track cheering those who are running, or are you gonna join the race?"
